Evening Snow Scene - Preview

This latest tutorial is definitely something a little different.

I recently saw a post on the members forum, where one of the members had painted a night-time scene. This prompted a lot of comments that a similar scene might make a good tutorial subject.

With this in mind, I searched out this atmospheric snow scene where we are on the edge of a forest at night, looking directly into a strong light source.

There are some fascinating silhouetted tree shapes, and some glowing colours, with the contours of the landscape described by the shadows across the snow.

Not quite as detailed as some of the tutorials; this one is all about the play of light and atmosphere.
