I would be the first to admit that the reference photo for this painting is a bit uninspiring. It was taken on a dull, Winter’s day and could almost be a monochrome; but in a way that’s the point, because it gives me the opportunity to demonstrate how you can hopefully create an atmospheric, colourful painting, by using a bit of imagination and colour mixing vision.
