This latest watercolour landscape project is quite a contrast to the last one, even though they are both based around an Autumn theme.

Rather than being a busy scene with lots of detail, this is all about rich, warm, autumn colour and achieving that mellow, misty feel.

There’s plenty of loose, wet into wet brush-work, and an interesting take on adding a figure to the scene.

There’s also an interesting perspective, added to the composition by the puddles on the track, and leading the viewers eye to the focal point.

A really loose enjoyable scene to paint.
