I came across this little scene when walking the deserted streets (I think it was siesta time) of Nauplio (Nafplio), a town on the Peloponnese coast of Greece.

The scene gives us the opportunity to work with some lovely warm colours, not just in the rich blossom of the Bougainvillea, but also the bright orange stucco of the walls, and translucent purple shadows.

The composition is further enhanced by the little touch of narrative interest provided by the bicycle.
