I chose this subject as much for the sky as the actual lighthouse itself.

I was particularly attracted to the way it occupies a good two thirds of the paper, and gives us scope to really get to grips with the dramatic evening light and the way it is reflected in the sea.

It’s also a good project for looking at how to get the feeling of the hard, craggy rocks, without over detailing.
