One of our members, Sheila, sent me this photo some time ago, and as soon as I saw it I knew it would make a good painting.
On the face of it, it is a little simpler than a lot of the subjects we have done. But while it is certainly less involved and less detailed, than many of the projects, there are still challenges in the handling of the wet in wet and wet on dry washes.
In the end it is all about capturing the atmosphere by using a minimum of brush strokes.
